Clean Water, Bright Future: Canteen Creek Watershed Green Infrastructure Tour on April 13, 2023

Did you know that HeartLands Conservancy completed a watershed plan for the Canteen – Cahokia Creek watershed in 2018?

We partnered with landowners in the area who were interested in addressing their erosion or nutrient issues and applied for funding under our IEPA Grant. The Grant funds were used to reimburse landowners for 50% of the costs of survey, design, and construction of these projects.

And now, we’re excited to take you on a unique tour of some of the most successful projects built to combat non-point source pollution in the Canteen Creek Watershed!

HeartLands Conservancy is proud to present the Clean Water, Bright Future: Canteen Creek Watershed Green Infrastructure Tour on April 13, 2023.

We’ve chartered a bus to take you on a journey through some of the best management practices like porous pavement, rain gardens, and streambank/channel stabilization that were built using Illinois EPA 319 Grant funds.

Lunch will be provided, and registration is limited to 12, so sign up now to secure your spot and learn how these projects are improving the water quality.

Register now and let’s explore together!
