Herbicide Training for Volunteers
July 21 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm CDT
Preserving natural areas for wildlife includes removing and controlling the spread of plants that don’t belong and cause harm to the ecosystem. Sometimes the only way to do this is with herbicide.
This training is for volunteers to learn to safely use herbicides and identify the invasive plant species that will be treated. Participants will learn when use of herbicide is appropriate and not appropriate for invasive species management. After completing this training, volunteers will be allowed to apply herbicide under the supervision of the Conservation Team during volunteer workdays and events.
