Members Hike with CEO at Bohm Woods Nature Preserve
Join us on what is sure to be an amazing member only hike with our CEO, Mary Vandevord!
Bohm Woods Nature Preserve is the only remaining Grade A old-growth forest in Madison County. We will look for woodland wildflowers in bloom and listen for birds that need old-growth forests to survive. We will start at the parking lot and hike down past the wetlands and over to the prairie. We will also stop by William C. Drda Woods, a 70-acre buffer area to Bohm Woods. The hike is approximately 2 miles of unpaved, dirt paths. It includes some inclines and potentially muddy spots. Hiking boots or sneakers with treads are recommended. Please bring a water bottle.
Parking area is located at the corner of Bohm School Road and New Poag Road in Edwardsville. Click the link for directions with Google Maps.
Members will receive an invitation email; RSVP is appreciated though not required.
