Join President & CEO, Mary Vandevord, on a leisurely walk through the conservation area at Highland Silver Lake Park in Highland, IL.
Learn about the importance of oaks to our region’s ecosystems, the Silver Lake watershed, and efforts to ensure clean water for drinking and recreation.
The trail is a relatively easy dirt path along the lake, crossing several foot bridges. The entire trail is about 4.5 miles. We will end the hike at the parking lot at 10:30 am, and will go as far as time will allow.
Please wear sturdy walking or hiking shoes and bring your own water.
