Message from our President/CEO

Join us for Martinis in the Meadow and Support Special Places in Southwestern Illinois

Dear Supporter,

I hope this message finds you well and that you’re enjoying the arrival of spring.

As a fellow supporter of HeartLands Conservancy’s mission to conserve land, water, and communities in southwestern Illinois, I want to personally invite you to our upcoming Martinis in the Meadow event on April 21st.

Martinis in the Meadow is a special Earth Day event that gives you the opportunity to celebrate nature while supporting our “Campaign for Special Places” – a series of events and initiatives that aim to protect the natural resources of southwestern Illinois.

The event will take place next to the beautiful Exploration Garden, a public demonstration garden and outdoor classroom that showcases native plants, pollinators, a sculpted play creek, and a wildflower meadow.

At Martinis in the Meadow, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while sipping on specialty martinis (including non-alcoholic options), snacking on mouth-watering appetizers, touring the garden, and enjoying live music by the Jazz Troubadours.

We’ll also auction off a painting of the meadow painted live that evening by guest artist, Michael Anderson. There will be plenty of other fun ways to support conservation that evening.

Your ticket purchase of $75 includes two drinks, appetizers, live music, and a night of fun. All proceeds support HeartLands Conservancy’s ongoing work, including the continued transformation and expansion of the Exploration Garden.

By attending Martinis in the Meadow, you’ll not only have a fantastic night out with your friends and family, but you’ll also help protect and conserve the natural resources of southwestern Illinois.

We hope you can join us for this one-of-a-kind experience and make new connections while supporting a great cause.

You can purchase your tickets now via our secure event page. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to celebrate nature and invest in our region’s future as a jewel where all can continue to experience and learn the wonders of our natural world.

Thank you for your continued support!

See you in the meadow,

Mary Vandevord, President & CEO
HeartLands Conservancy
