The Conservation Stewardship Coordinator supports the organization’s work on a diversity of conservation and environmental projects and stewarding the land. This includes managing and providing support for team-based environmental projects, creating and displaying GIS data, conducting in-the-field land management and stewardship, species and easement monitoring, preparing written reports, grant writing, conducting research, organizing volunteers, and planning and conducting public engagement/education events.
HeartLands Conservancy is a leading conservation nonprofit and land trust in the St. Louis, Missouri, Metropolitan Area, serving southern Illinois. The organization works with landowners, governments, and organizations to conserve our region’s land and water resources, restore wildlife habitat, reduce flooding, plan resilient communities, and engage people around natural resources. Over the past 33 years, HeartLands Conservancy has conserved nearly 10,000 acres of natural areas, green spaces, and farmland. The organization serves a seven-county region of southwestern Illinois with main office located in Downtown Belleville.
