Overview
Robert E Glazebrook Park
Glazebrook Park is an important community open space in the heart of Godfrey, Illinois. With an amazing vision and forward thinking, in 1999, Norma Glazebrook donated her farmland to the Village to become a community park. In the Mid-2000s, the Village purchased another 80 acres to add baseball fields, restrooms, and a concession stand to the park.
With the strong growth in Godfrey, the community needed additional recreation facilities. So in 2018, the Village was awarded an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant from the State of Illinois to complete another phase of the park. We assisted with the design and technical assistance for that part of the park.
By assisting with this recreation space for the community, we’re ensuring more spaces for play, fitness, relaxation, and gathering in the community.
