SPECIAL PROJECTS

You Can Make These Special Projects a Reality

Less than 5% of land in Illinois is conserved. Even less (3%) is open to the public for recreation. We’re working with local families and landowners, community partners, and volunteers across the southern 36 counties of Illinois to conserve important land, increase the number of public conservation areas and parks, and care for these special places for generations to come.

HeartLands Conservancy is currently working on several critical projects throughout the region.

For more information on any of these projects, please contact Mary Vandevord at (618)  566-4451 ex 20 or ma************@*******************cy.org.
