Ways to Give

Donor-Advised Fund Assets

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are already great ways to make contributions to causes, such as conservation, during your lifetime. You can extend the impact beyond your lifetime when you name HeartLands Conservancy as the primary beneficiary or co-beneficiary of your Donor Advised Fund.

The contributions remaining in your donor advised fund after your lifetime can be designated when you create or update your fund.

By naming HeartLands Conservancy as a beneficiary of your Donor-Advised Fund, you can contribute to the preservation of the southern Illinois wildlife habitats, heritage, and trails.

How It Works

Designation
Designate HeartLands Conservancy as a beneficiary of your donor-advised fund assets. By simply completing the beneficiary designation form assigned to your fund, you can name successor advisors to your fund or a specific charity(ies) to receive a portion of your fund balance.

Tax Benefits Today
A donor-advised fund is like a charitable investment account that is set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those funds are invested for tax-free growth and the individual can recommend donations to charities of their choice over time.
